Self Tan In 3 Minutes?

Hello pretties,

I'm sorry I've not blogged in a few days, I've had a hell of a weekend. Work has been busy due to getting ready for a new launch, and a huge charity day. My anxiety has been at 100% all week and to top it off, someone ran over my kitten Rocco & he's now in kitty heaven! *sniffle*

I'm going to make this one short and sweet. I just want to talk about my experience with the new St Tropez Gradual In Shower TanI'm sure by now you have seen at least one tweet, blog post or YouTube video about this product, it's been a hot topic in the blogging community! I was so excited to get my hands on this product when I first heard of its launch, I couldn't wait to try it out. A new way to self tan in only 3 minutes? Sign me up! I got a free 50ml sample size in the InStyle Magazine August issue, but then I also received another sample in my July You Beauty Discovery Box. The idea of this product is you use it in the shower, you wash your body as normal using your normal body wash, then switch off your water or step out of the shower and apply generously onto damp skin in circular motions, once applied wait 3 minutes and then rinse it off. Sounds simple right? And really it is, I mean you can't really go wrong, and the people at St Tropez guarantee a streak free application! I did find it a little torturous to step out of my nice warm shower for a whole 3 minutes whilst this product developed, and that's in the summer. It's definitely not a product I would use in winter just because I wouldn't want to step out of the shower into below freezing temperature! *brrrr* after a week of solid daily use in the shower I have to say I've not really seen a change in colour. I'm not sure if that's because I already have quite a tan complexion or just because it doesn't work? Maybe this would be the perfect product if you already have a nice tan from your holidays and just want to keep it topped up. But if you're looking to build a nice golden bronze tan, this product is not for you! I do prefer a tan that looks like I've spent a week in the Bahamas, so I think I'll stick to my trusty St Moriz Dark Mouse even if the application time is a little bit longer!

Have you used the St Tropez Gradual In Shower Tan? How was your experience with it?
