What's In My Makeup Bag

16:30:00

Hi lovelies!

I've been a bit stuck on what to write for a post today, complete writers block! I only had 3 hours sleep and then got called into work on my day off. So when I finally got home and had a nap, and had a think, I thought I would show you all what's in my makeup bag (not very exciting I know) I have a big makeup bag, so it seems to collect a lot of junk, so I thought this would be the perfect way to sort it out as well as show you guys what I hoard in there!

I got this gorgeous makeup bag for my birthday in April off a friend of mine. And honestly, I just love it! It's so big and has space to hold all my makeup as well as my makeup removers. I also love the caption on the front, it's so true! I would totally rather be late than arrive with my makeup looking anything less than perfect!

Elf Stippling Brush - I just love this brush, it makes my foundation look flawless!
Visibly Clear Pink Grapefuit Facewash - this is honestly one of the best face moisturisers I have used. It doesn't leave my skin feeling oily!
Mac Oil Control Lotion - I've only been using this for a couple of days but up to now, it's done what it says on the bottle! I have an oily t-zone and in warm weather it's really bad, but this has managed to control it!
Mac Studio Fix Fluid - I've only used this twice up to now, but it's a big improvement on my previous foundation.
Mac Sheer Pressed Powder - same with this, I've only used it twice but it seems to be good up to now.
Rimmel Stay Matte Powder - this is honestly one of the best face powders I have used, and I swear by it! I've been using it for years, and it's always kept me looking shine free!
Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation - I've used this foundation since it very first came out, and I have to say. It's great! It covers all my little imperfections perfectly and doesn't feel caked on.
Rimmel Match Perfect Concealor - this is one of the only conceal its that actually work for me. I find that others don't tend to hide my imperfections as well as this does.
Mac False Lash Effect Sample - I got this free when I went on my first Mac binge, and it's AMAZING! It really does look like I'm wearing false lashes without actually needing to wear them!
Collection Mascaras - I have two of these that I picked up cheap one day, they are okay, but not the best when not over used. I've found when you use them too much your eyelashes clump together, and they make my eyes water and itch. Which isn't a good thing!
New Look Beauty Eyebrow Pencil - I LOVE this pencil! It is so good! I pride myself on my eyebrows, getting them tinted & threaded monthly, and this pencil just fills them in perfectly. They never look over drawn or like I've scribbled pencil on my eyes! I would really recommend this!
New Look Beauty Felt Eyeliner Pen - I only really wear eyeliner if I'm going on a night out, but I find this really easy to use. It has a thin tip making it easy to build up a perfect cat eye flick without looking like a panda!
Barry M Chisel Cheeks Contour Kit - I'm still getting the hang of this and getting used to how to contour, I use the medium powder to contour my cheeks. I find the lighter colour doesn't highlight as claimed.
Elf Baked Blusher - this is honestly my favourite blusher, it's got a highlighter mixed in with it so gives a great pink colour with added highlight. I'm kind of sad Elf has been discontinued in the UK as I can't buy this anymore.
Collection Eyes Uncovered Palette - I use this for a very simple everyday eye look. I don't like anything too heavy on my eyes during the day so this is perfect, and a bargain at £2.99!
Vaseline Rose Lip Balm - I can not stand the sight of chapped lips, and for some reason my lips are prone to chapping so this little beauty comes everywhere with me.
Red Cherry Eyelashes #Wisp - these are the perfect lashes for a daytime look, they look so natural and don't look over done.
Spectrum Collections Makeup Brushes - I fell in love with these from the very moment they landed on my doormat. I use all 4 brushes everyday for various things.
EOS Lipbalm - again this comes everywhere with me. It's so simple and easy, no sticky fingers from applying to your lips. Just a quick swipe from the tub straight to your lips and they are hydrated for hours! I have multiple different 'flavours' and love them all!

I know this was a bit of a long post, my bad! But I actually enjoyed doing this. Tell me whats in your makeup bag that you can't live without?

Take Care

  1. I am in love with the makeup bag! Definitely need that in my life. What do you think of the oil control lotion as a primer before your makeup, I'm in desperate need of a primer that keeps my makeup in place all day!

    1. It's an amazing bag isn't it! The oil control lotion has really been through its paces since its been warm and I work in an old warehouse style building which attracts the heat. I found it hasn't held up as well as when the girl at Mac used it on my skin? Maybe I'm not using enough or? I don't know. Maybe it's supposed to be teamed with a primer as its stated as a lotion. I'm gonna give it a few more tries xx
